The School aims to create an environment in which everyone can express their talent, receive adequate support and find the right balance between academic and applied research, teaching and service to the institution — all without compromising their well-being. Particular attention is paid to the growth and development of the Junior Faculty. All members of the School are encouraged to participate actively in decision-making processes and institutional activities.
The ultimate goal is to cultivate a sense of pride and belonging.
The School intends to intensify its efforts to align itself with international standards, consolidating the results achieved and addressing areas for improvement, particularly with regard to the internationalisation of the Faculty. Starting with a critical understanding of the role of technology, the School aims to develop and transfer the fundamental management engineering skills that are essential for addressing the major challenges facing society through teaching. This goal is at the heart of the path of innovation and excellence, with a growing focus on integrating responsible and sustainable management practices into the educational offering.
The School aims to consolidate the research results obtained in recent years by strategically guiding growth and improvement towards a clearly defined position of excellence, in line with the objectives expressed in the HumanTech project. The intention is to seize the opportunities offered by this and other PNRR projects to establish and expand a growing number of research collaborations with other Politecnico di Milano departments and Italian and international research institutions. Particular attention is paid to recruiting talent that can enrich disciplinary and methodological perspectives.
The School aims to collaborate more closely with all its stakeholders (including businesses, the government, institutions and civil society) to address major social challenges hindering the local community’s sustainable development, particularly the ‘Milan System’.
The goal is to enhance the competitiveness and growth of business ecosystems, thereby reinforcing the School’s position as a leader in equipping companies and institutions with the skills needed to overcome complex management and technological challenges.
