The School's strategy is developed by the members of the board, who also pursue the University's objectives and adapt them to changes in society
The Academic Director and the Executive Board form the School’s governing bodies. They are responsible for defining and implementing the overall strategy.
This strategy is developed in line with the University’s general objectives and through ongoing dialogue about global trends in education, employment, business, public institutions and the third sector.
The Executive Board consists of 14 members: the Director and Deputy Director of the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering; six professors, who are elected by the Department Council; the Coordinator of the Management Engineering Degree Programme; the Coordinator of the Management Engineering Doctoral Programme; the President of the POLIMI Graduate School of Management; two members, who are appointed by the Director to oversee specific areas; and the Department’s Administrative Manager.
As part of its governance structure, the School has established an Advisory Board composed of 17 members from various countries. This body identifies new trends and challenges, and initiates strategic reflections to develop the School. It leverages the experience of its members, who hold responsible positions in large companies and academic institutions around the world.
Annual meetings facilitate constant and valuable exchanges of views, experiences and knowledge, enabling the School to anticipate changes in the global competitive environment and respond more effectively to the needs of its stakeholders.
The Advisory Board includes high-profile figures from academia, business and institutions.
